Is your way right

“A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

People may mistakenly think they are doing right, but God sees the motives behind their actions. We often have to make choices in areas where the right action is difficult to discern. We can help ourselves make such decisions by trying to identify our motives first and then asking, “Would God be pleased with my real reasons for doing this?” God is not pleased when we do good deeds only to receive something in return.(Tyndale Study Bible)

How many of us, live an actual clean life. We never falter. You see it’s not always about what we don’t do. It’s what we do, do. Doing nothing is not going to get you anywhere. Think of this, that guy that goes to work does his job, risks nothing. Drives carefully and mind his own business. Are you that type of person? Or do you take risks for God?

Consider this. A Christian that reads his Bible goes to Church prays religiously, other than that; he does not do much. I can tell you this, the Lord and the church aren’t for those types. Revelation 3:15 -16 “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm–neither hot nor cold–I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” Where do you/I fit in?

Firstly let us look at what we are mandated to do as Christian. We are to spread the Good News of the Gospel. Do we do that? I can’t do that; I am not that sort of person. Read – Romans 12:6-8 (NLT)

6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. 8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

We can never say there is something we can not do. Surely there is something we can do, amongst the things above. It gets back to desire, though, do we want to do these things, or do we want to live or comfortable lives.  In my study notes, there is a description of Jesus. ” He lived an absolute HOLY LIFE; He was motivated by GENUINE LOVE, His conduct was TRULY HUMBLE, He was GENTLE  and MEEK, He lived a LIFE OF PRAYER and He was a HARD WORKER.” ( Christian life training)

So apart from our own motives are we HARD WORKERS for God? Find your passion and follow it. Get out of your comfort zone. Let’s be HOT for GOD. You can apply this to your work life as well.

“Lord, I thank you for talent. Help me find mine. Amen.”
